Elinor Ostrom and Oliver Williamson wins nobel price

For the 1st time the Nobel Prize for Economics goes to woman.

Elinor Ostrom won the Nobel economics prize on Monday for their work in economic governance.

Olstrom was cited for her analysis of economic governance and on the other side Williamson for developing a theory where business firms serve as structures for conflict resolution.

Oliver Eaton Williamson was born September 27, 1932 and is a prominent author in the area of transaction cost economics. Elinor Ostrom was born 1933 and is an American political scientist teaching at Indiana University.

Elinor Ostrom and Oliver Williamson, the 2 winners get 10 million Swedish (SEK) equivalent of about 1 million Euro.
